NZ Rugby invited several contracted rugby players to join the float with Black Ferns Sevens players Ruby Tui, Sarah Goss and Theresa Fitzpatrick getting on board, but no Super Rugby players were present. However, several Auckland Rugby board members were present along with NZ Rugby second in command Neil Sorensen. "We want people to know that rugby is for everyone and theres no boundaries to that and Pride is good because it aligns with that. It's just about love, and everybody should believe in love because I think love makes the world a better place.
