The fire broke out at the two-storey tin-shed structure at Islambagh around 1pm on Friday, said Fire Service control room officer Mahmudul Haque. Five fire-fighting units put out the flames nearly an hour later, he said. Chawkbazar police OC Shamim Ur Rashid Talukder told bdnews24.com that the two victims were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). DMCH burns unit's resident physician Partha Shankar Pal told bdnews24.com that the condition of all three was critical. Fire Service official Mizanur Rahman said they were yet to determine the cause of the fire, which damaged several houses in the vicinity.
