The fire broke out at the two-storey tin-shed structure at Islambagh around 1pm on Friday, said Fire Service control room officer Mahmudul Haque. Five fire-fighting units put out the flames nearly an hour later, he said. Chawkbazar police OC Shamim Ur Rashid Talukder told bdnews24.com that the two victims were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), but could not confirm their identities. DMCH Police Outpost Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia quoted doctors as saying that the condition of both the injured was critical.
