Pioneering businesswoman and philanthropist Elspeth Kennedy, who died in Nelson last year, has been announced as an inductee to the 2018 New Zealand Business Hall of Fame. She had been involved with hospice for more than 15 years and was the chairwoman of the Nelson Tasman Hospice Trust from 1998 to 2014. Her induction into the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame is the latest in a line of honours. It had been a testament to her business skills that she'd been able to establish a strong foundation for the hospice, he said.
