The Rawalpindi police received some 30 well-equipped patrol vehicles from the Punjab government on Sunday. The provincial government will facilitate the police in crime control, said Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat at the handing over ceremony of the patrol vehicles held at Rawalpindi Police Lines. The minister said that the new vehicles are equipped with trackers, anti-car lifting software, criminal records, wireless system, video calling, and other facilities. He said that the police departments across the province are being given 500 patrol vehicles to improve police work. He also thanked the minister for the provision of new patrolling vehicles to each police station of Rawalpindi.
