KARACHI: A policeman was martyred and one of the two suspected robbers killed during a shootout in Karachi’s Karimabad neighbourhood late Sunday night, authorities said. The Azizabad police said that a citizen drew cash from an ATM of a private bank at Meena Bazaar. The suspect was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The wounded policeman was taken to the Aga Khan University Hospital for treatment where he died during treatment, said a police spokesperson. The martyred officer was posted at Azizabad and lived in the same area.
