As many as 627 new coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh on Sunday and at least five more fatalities from the virus were recorded. According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister's House, the provincial tally of Covid-19 infections rose to 150,167 and the death toll reached 2,684. Meanwhile, at least 142 patients also recovered from the virus in Sindh, taking the number of recovered persons to 140,550. According to Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah, 1,728,156 tests have been conducted thus far since the pandemic hit Sindh and there are currently at least 6,935 active Covid-19 cases in the province. As many as 507 of the new cases were confirmed from Karachi, with the majority of them reported from East and South districts.
