For decades, Northlanders have enjoyed access to a piece of local paradise across a Whangarei Heads farm. Public access to Kauri Mountain Beach via the farm, 30km east of Whangarei, will stay regardless of who the new owner of the 204ha Whangarei Heads property is. The property, with a CV of $6.2 million, brackets the northernmost 1.6km of Kauri Mountain Beach. Beach access through the gate will continue regardless of the sale, the council says. "Kauri Mountain Farm is truly a magical piece of paradise with the most gorgeous white sandy beaches, pohutakawa-clad bays and enchanting native bush that will leave you breathless."
