By David LeggatNew Zealand were 266 for eight at tea on the second day of their second test against Pakistan after a session of attrition. The second session began in the worst possible fashion for New Zealand with Colin de Grandhomme, resuming on 37, out first ball after the resumption. He also found time to hit the first six of the test, lifting Sohail Khan into the spectators at mid wicket. Raval had led a charmed life on the first day, Sami Aslam dropping him second ball of the match at first slip off Mohammad Amir. There's no Yasir Shah in this test, Pakistan figuring he won't be an asset on the green, damp pitch.
