Share TweetBy Ben RosarioHouse Deputy Speaker Prospero Pichay Jr. was rushed to the hospital after suffering hypertension that triggered a nose bleed shortly after he declared a brief suspension of the plenary session. The incident cut short the session which was suspended until Tuesday, June 4, by Deputy Speaker and Davao City Rep. Mylene Garcia-Albano. Pichay was supposed to preside over the plenary session until the Senate has acted on the “sin tax measure” that provides for another round of adjustments for tobacco taxes. He was fully aware when rushed out of the plenary to the waiting ambulance on a wheelchair.
