PDEA seizes P6M worth of ‘shabu’ in Manila


MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) confiscated on Monday over P6 million worth of “shabu” and arrested four suspects in a buy-bust operation in a hotel in Ermita, Manila. An initial report from PDEA said the operation was launched at around 5:30 p.m. by PDEA members coming from its offices in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao. ADVERTISEMENTArrested in the operation were Soebir Sbir Madaili, 54; Saipoding Pumbaya, 23; Saipoden Alnao Sultan, 32; and Johary Mamocarao Maromaya, 18. Another suspect identified as Fajad Sultan managed to evade arrest, according to PDEA. Cases in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against the suspects.
