Garbage deliveries to the dump remained halted. All local bodies in Phuket have been told to stop sending trash to the landfill until the situation is fully under control. He advised nearby residents to avoid outdoor activities where possible, to wear face masks against inhaling the smoke and dust rising from the burning dump, and closely follow official announcements.
