He was airlifted to Dunedin Hospital after the crash and died there yesterday morning. Mr Baker, a computer technician, won the 2016 Otago Wildlife Photography Exhibition Photographer of the Year, beating nearly 2000 entries. A member of the Dunedin Camera Club, he was described by a fellow member as likeable, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and humble. This timelapse of four hours in the working life of Port Chalmers was shot from the viewing platform at the lookout above the port. Riley captured this clip of the sun coming up over the Pacific Ocean to start another Dunedin day.
