Wellington Phoenix is reported to be in talks with one of the Sydney bidders wanting to join the A-League. It said it understood the Phoenix owners had had talks with two expansion groups about a sale, with offers ranging from partial to a full buyout. South-west Sydney A-League bid director Gino Marra confirmed talks with current clubs but refused to discuss Wellington. Wellington Phoenix has been contacted for comment.
