(File photo)Brazen daylight thieves - one of them on a mobility scooter - attempting to steal fruit from an avocado tree on private property have been reported to police. This was the second time in a few months that the 10m avocado tree in Bret Glazer's Auckland garden has been raided. This was not the first time the Glazer's tree has been targeted. Less than a kilometre away, another Sandringham property placed barbed wire around an avocado tree to protect it from sticky-fingered pedestrians.
