The children were among 100 underprivileged families from Cenderawasih, near here, who were picked to receive aid contributed by Petronas through the "Sentuhan Kasih Deepavali programme" yesterday in conjunction with the Festival of Lights. Besides providing the aid Petronas, through its foundation (Yayasan Petronas) had also organised a buffet dinner along with stage performances for the recipients. Meanwhile Wan M Hasnan said the Sentuhan Kasih programme was to light up the Deepavali joy among the Bottom 40 (B40) group as they prepare for the festival. In conjunction with Deepavali, Yayasan Petronas had contributed assistance worth RM280,000 to selected families in the B40 category from seven states in Malaysia.
