Petrol and diesel prices were hiked again today by 35 paise per litre, making it fourth straight hike in as many days. In Mumbai, the petrol price stands at ₹113.12 per litre and diesel would be sold at ₹104.00 per litre, today. The total increase in petrol price since May 5, 2020 decision of the government to raise excise duty to record levels now totals ₹35.98 per litre. All this and much more with that ₹32 a litre excise duty (levied by the central government)," he had asserted.
