In another petition, N. Thirupathi of Perumal Malai said Ms. Sharmila’s stay would affect unity among tribalsSo far, five petitions have been filed against her proposed marriage and her stay in Kodaikanal. Ms. Sharmila and her British partner Desmond Coutinho had submitted papers for their marriage at the Sub-Registrar Office on July 12.
