Melissa Vining says the support shown towards her dying husband's call for better cancer care has been both humbling and comforting. Winton man Blair Vining has fast become a lead voice in a push to get the Government to put together a cancer plan. Vining has terminal cancer and has set himself the goal of presenting to MPs a petition signed by 300,000 people before he dies. [In New Zealand] survival can depend on who you are or where you live," the petition description states. The plan is for Blair to present the petition to National MPs Michael Woodhouse and Hamish Walker at the event.
