Taylor joined the clear-up operation as heavy snow threatened to postpone the match Sky SportsUp and down the country the inclement weather has being causing disruption, delays and havoc during the past 24 hours. And last night’s League One match between Peterborough United and Walsall looked set to become the latest victim of heavy snowfall. That was until Steven Taylor, the Peterborough defender, grabbed a shovel, joined the groundsmen and helped clear the snow that had covered the markings on the ABAX Stadium pitch. With ten minutes remaining and with Peterborough leading 2-1, the referee halted proceedings and the efforts, led by Taylor, began to get the pitch in a playable condition to complete the match. The home supporters revelled in Taylor’s clear-up operation as he began clearing snow from the 18-yard line.
