(CNN) "Saturday Night Live" comedian Pete Davidson joked about his troubling Instagram post that led to a police wellness check as part of a "Weekend Update" segment late Saturday night. The segment focused on Davidson and comedian John Mulaney mocking the absurdity of the Clint Eastwood movie "The Mule." A sober, domestic life," Mulaney said. "Yeah and after observing John's life, I publicly threatened suicide," Davidson said. "Pete, look at me, look me in the eye: You are loved by many, and we are glad you are okay," Mulaney said.
