The central storyline of The Punisher this season is, bizarrely, based on pure chance. But none of this matters because what should be the central storyline of the season, this Pilgrim/Amy/blackmail thing, actually isn’t. Everyone, Frank, Madani, think he’s faking and biding his time to escape, and escape he does. I sort of wish I hadn’t watched season 2 because I hold season 1 in such high regard. Even a bad Punisher season is five times as good as say, Iron Fist season 1, but it’s a disappointment all the same.
