KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 3): CIMB IB Research expects Petronas Gas Bhd (PetGas) to deliver stronger earnings in 4Q16 due to lower maintenance cost. In a note today, the research house said PetGas shared it has allocated about RM400 million for repair and maintenance costs for 2016. "Half of these costs have been spent in 1H16, operating costs in 2H16 should reflect that. Lower repair and maintenance costs estimated could boost PetGas's bottom line by about RM100 million to RM115 million," it said. Its revenue grew 2% y-o-y, but operating costs rose 8% y-o-y due to higher operating costs in all of its four divisions.
