Veteran coach Bo Perasol said he is not certain if he will be back as head coach of the University of the Philippines (UP) in the next season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s basketball tournament. Perasol failed to steer the second seed Fighting Maroons to a second straight finals appearance against fourth seed University of Santo Tomas (UST) on Wednesday. It really depends on the administration,” said Perasol following the Maroons’ 65-68 loss to UST in the do-or-die semifinal game in front of a crowd of 18,000 at the Mall of Asia Arena. UP went through a winless seasons before Perasol, 47, guided the Maroons to five wins in his first year, and to six victories in the succeeding season. Perasol then guided the Maroons to their first finals appearance since 1986 only to lose to Ateneo De Manila University last year.
