LALMONIRHAT, Nov 23, 24 (BSS)- BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy today urged the interim government to hold the general elections in the quickest possible time to restore democratic rights of the people. "The people of the country are yet to get back their voting rights after ousted fascist Sheikh Hasina's regime," he told a discussion on 'Shaheed Zia Memorial Football Tournament' at Barobari Shaheed Abul Kashem College playground here. The senior BNP leader said that the people are not interested to hear any new words rather they are eagerly waiting for casting their votes. The football tournament was arranged comprising BNP leaders and activists of eight districts of Rangpur division and Panchagar BNP XI and Lalmonirhat BNP XI faced each other today. Panchagar district BNP XI won today's match by defeating Lalmonirhat with 3-0 goals.
