The Hospital Authority urged people not to visit accidental and emergency departments in public hospitals for coronavirus testing. Chief Manager of Clinical Effectiveness & Technology Management, Dr Linda Yu, pointed out today that if people have personal reasons or want to know if they are infected, they can consider going to government-approved institutions for testing. Public hospitals mainly test people who have symptoms, and if too many people go to A&E departments, the risk of infection will increase and it will also delay diagnosis and treatment of patients, she said.
