A car crash on State Highway 8 (SH8) between Fairlie and Tekapo near the Haldon Rd (Dog Kennel Corner) and SH8 intersection was reported to police at 4.02pm on Friday, a police media spokeswoman said. It was not yet known how many vehicles were involved in the crash but people were believed to be injured, she said. Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Tim Reynolds said crews from the Fairlie and Lake Tekapo Volunteer Fire Brigades had responded to the incident.
