Investigator hired to nab shop worker's theftsMONIQUE FORD/STUFF A man has pleaded guilty to charges of false accounting and theft by a person in a special relationship, from the Ngaio Supermarket and Ngaio Discount Liquor Centre. A Wellington dairy owner who employed a trusted friend to help in the business, ended up hiring an investigator to uncover his thefts. He was left alone for long periods to tend a store with three tills for a grocery, liquor store and lotto outlet, Antunovic said. The store owner became concerned that money was missing from the business and in June 2016 hired a private investigator. But the business owner Kalpana Patel said Kansara had been treated well, as if he was a member of the family.
