MIXED doubles Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying almost lost the plot due to their over-eagerness before checking into the quarter-final of the Denmark Open in Odense on Thursday. The fourth seeds were expected to secure an easy win but made life difficult for themselves against India’s Pranav Jerry Chopra-Sikki Reddy. The Malaysians were forced to save three-game points in the opening game before securing a 26-24, 13-21, 21-11 win in the second round. Peng Soon said they were impatient and thus made errors during the match. ‘We were just too eager to win and started making too many mistakes,’said Peng Soon yesterday.
