GEORGE TOWN: The expansion of the Penang International Airport (PIA) will see two separate wings for domestic and international flights. Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) managing director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali said the major expansion involved the construction of a new wing for the airport. “It looks as though we will have a domestic wing and an international wing, and both will be under one roof. “We’re working to try to get two new airlines into Penang that’s never flown in before,” he said. Badlisham said MAHB was looking into clearing up more space in the departure area of the airport over the next 12 months.
