Plans to build a hydropower station at a Saskatoon weir have given new hope to proponents who want to build a white water park at the same location. An artist's rendering of the original hydropower and white water park proposal from 2010. A pedestrian bridge will be part of the City of Saskatoon and Saskatoon Tribal Council's new hydropower project, but a white water park is not part of the plan. But last week's announcement that there are plans to build the hydropower facility has given the water park proponents renewed hope. With the cost of those works covered, Peterson said the water park plan needs only $3 million to go ahead.
