Police are appealing for information from the public after a pedestrain was hit by a car in Invercargill early this morning. The pedestrian was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Inglewood Rd at about 1.30am Saturday. Invercargill police want to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident, in particular anyone who saw a man of average build, wearing dark clothing and holding a push bike prior to the crash. Police have spoken to the driver of the vehicle involved and their car has been has been seized as evidence.
