A 40-year-old man was killed after he was hit by a truck Wednesday night while crossing a street in Scarborough. Emergency services sped to the scene on Kennedy Rd., just south of Highway 401, at about 6:40 p.m. The man had been struck on William Kitchen Rd., east of of Kennedy. He was unconscious when found, police said. The 33-year-old driver of the 2012 Freightliner truck remained on scene.
