Police were called to Commercial Way, Peckham, shortly after 11pm on Tuesday to reports of a group of males fighting, according to a Met Police spokesman. Two men, believed to be in their 20s, were found with stab wounds, while a dog had also been stabbed. An eye witness described seeing 40 police officers at the scene where a funeral wake was taking place. Speaking to the Mirror Online, a woman who gave her name only as Sinead, said the wake was following her auntie's funeral and her cousin was one of those stabbed. The injured dog is understood to have been a Bullmastiff.
