David Roback, the co-founder of 90s band Mazzy Star, has died aged 61. Roback was a producer and multi-instrumentalist who co-founded Mazzy Star alongside Hope Sandoval. Roback brought in Hope Sandoval as her replacement, with whom he would later form Mazzy Star with. As well as producing their albums, Roback also co-wrote all Mazzy Star songs with Sandoval. Mazzy Star released their final offering, Still EP, in 2018.
