Confirming the matter to Dhaka Tribune, Ruhul Amin, member secretary of Chittagong Zoo Executive Committee, said three eggs were hatched in the zoo on Sunday. “Peacock eggs have been hatched for the second time in Chittagong Zoo. Dr Shahadat Hossain, acting curator and veterinary surgeon at Chittagong Zoo, told Dhaka Tribune that the hatchlings were doing well. Peacock eggs hatch 28-30 days after they are laid,” he added.
