Dr. Pat Parfrey, a medical practitioner for more than four decades, is out as the head of Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services. Ron Johnson, most recently the health authority's chief information officer and vice-president of digital health, information and research, has been appointed as interim CEO. At the time, Parfrey told reporters the job chose him. After his appointment, he told reporters he accepted the role because of his insight into the Health Accord.
