SIBU: Passengers were left stranded as the Sibu Airport was closed until 10pm Sunday. This follows after MAS Flight MH2718 skidded upon landing at the Sibu Airport at 10.17pm on Saturday after a downpour. The Boeing 737-800 aircraft was carrying 61 passengers and six crew members when it skidded and landed in an awkward position. It is learnt that the aircraft attempted landing during the downpour.
