Bus operators claimed that the buses had mostly been sticking to their schedule in the last few days but heavy rain yesterday had resulted in delays. Mahbubul Haque of Haque Enterprise said the buses are being delayed as the road situation worsened following heavy rainfall early yesterday. Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, in a press briefing at the secretariat, said indiscipline is the major reason behind the traffic rush this year.
