The World Cup of Hockey is coming to Toronto, and it seems some fans have mixed feelings about it. To accompany the tournament, which runs from Sept. 17 until Oct. 1, a 10-day fan festival opened Friday in the Distillery District. A premiere party kicked things off on Friday with appearances by the teams and a concert featuring Daya, Sam Roberts Band and The Killers. With blasting music and a steady stream of people filtering in, the atmosphere was upbeat on Friday afternoon. Both had only positive things to say about the World Cup, and Clermont praised the addition of Team North America, a gaggle of youngsters overlooked by the U.S. and Canadian national squads.
