Ti-Anna Wang's father, Wang Bingzhang, was abducted by Chinese agents during a trip to Vietnam in 2002 and imprisoned after what was widely denounced as a sham trial. Wang Bingzhang was a pro-democracy activist who got his doctorate at McGill University in the 1980s. They say the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are aware of the case. Wang admits she doesn't know how much attention the Prime Minister's Office, or any other government office, is paying to her father's case. Wang Bingzhang has been in solitary confinement in China since 2002.
