Parramatta fans have added insult to injury for the Canberra faithful by mocking the Raiders' trademark Viking clap in the closing moments of their 40-4 finals thrashing on Friday night. Leading 34-4 with seven minutes to go in the sudden-death clash, Eels diehards clapped in unison, filling CommBank stadium with the sound of the Green Machine's famous celebration. 'Well that is rubbing it in ... the Eels fans are now having a night out,' FoxLeague commentator Andrew Voss said when the clap began. How dare you steal the Panther Viking clap,' a fan tweeted after last night's antics. In 2016 Michael Ennis famously mocked Raiders fans during the elimination final, performing the Viking clap on the sidelines after the Sharks' 16-14 win.
