Haruna Iddrisu has stated that Ghana is in the process of passing the right to information and broadcasting bill. Speaking at the world press freedom day, an annual event held at the press international centre, the Minority leader charged the media to be innovative saying, "parliament will not legislate on any law that will damage the media." Among those present at the gathering was the Minister for information, Mustapha Hamid, who further noted that the passage of the bill is non-negotiable. Chairman of the Ghana Media Commission, Nana Kwesi Gyan-Apenteng, Dr Lawrence Tetteh a reverend minister and some members of the press were also present at the event
