This hasn't slowed the sprinter down, and on Friday she smashed a world record in the 100-meter, winning gold in 11.40 seconds. In an event traditionally dominated by China, Bayley became the first British singles Paralympic gold medal winner since 1988. Davies was devastated after the F42 discus, the event in which he won gold at London 2012, was removed from the Rio lineup. Monday, Davies' first attempt broke the Paralympic record and his last one reached 15.97 meters, 1.66 meters clear of his competitors.
