A paraglider has been rescued after crashing onto the second floor roof of a luxury hotel in Co Fermanagh. Emergency services were called to reports of the incident at the five-star Lough Erne Resort shortly before 1pm on Sunday. Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service and the NI Ambulance Service remained at the scene for hours, an eyewitness said. “Three appliances, two from Enniskillen and one from Lisnaskea, the Specialist Rescue Team and a Turntable Ladder are in attendance, NIFRS said. Lough Erne Resort is nestled in 600 acres of untouched Enniskillen countryside, and has a helipad, which the paraglider may have been aiming for.
