PARAÑAQUE City Mayor Edwin Olivarez on Monday was in the midst of brainstorming session with members of – Parañaque Covid-19 Task Force on the potential impact of the deadly virus when President Duterte summoned the Metro Manila mayors for an emergency meeting at Malacañang. President Duterte has just signed proclamation 922 declaring a state public health emergency which requires all concerned Govt. agencies including LGU’s to undertake urgent and appropriate response to curtail the Covid-19 threat amid reports of the increasing number of covid-19 cases in the country. “Though the deadly virus is within our doorsteps, the city remains calm but vigilant because of the correct information the city provides about covid-19” said Olivarez. Health Emergency Response team (Bhert) play an essential role in keeping the residents safe by tracking down possible carrier of covid-19 in the community.
