Diaz was already confirmed by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) as an entry as requested by Samahang Weightlifting ng Pilipinas (SWP) last week. Six qualifying events are required for any lifter to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics and this was the last one needed. Diaz’s group have tickets already for her flight to Colombia tomorrow (Monday) until the Colombian lockdown was announced last night. The IWF Board will be meeting today in Lausanne, Switzerland to tackle this agenda affecting majority of the qualifying lifters in the world. In the meantime, Diaz and her group will continue their training in Malaysia.
