The University of Alberta Pandas women’s hockey team are an extremely motivated group this year, after falling short at the U Sport national championship last season. The two-game series against the Bisons is pivotal for the Pandas to work their way up the standings. “As a team we’ve decided to take every series in itself and just focus on the series with each team and just look at breaking down that series against that team,” Dillon said. There will be a 50-50 raffle, a chuck-a-puck event and a lottery with all the proceeds going to Hockey Fights Cancer. “With the Hockey Fights Cancer, it’s a growing cause in minor hockey and up to the NHL as well,” Dillon said.
