I’m not a partisan; I’m too much of a loner to buy into the groupthink that modern Canadian politics seems too often to require. (My only involvement with party politics was joining the Canadian Alliance when I was 16 for a project in my Grade 11 politics class. There was no sense of purpose behind the modern Canadian Conservative movement. That required discipline, sure, but it also was helped by having a Conservative party that had a plan, and was focused on executing it. A renewed sense of conservative purpose will solve a lot of ills.
