MALACANANG on Friday defended President Rodrigo Duterte’s order to policemen to arrest bystanders if would they refuse to go home. Roque said that Duterte was a lawyer and knew the basis for arrests. “Just the same, he would rather that those loitering should go home so that those people with bad intentions are thwarted,” Roque added. Duterte made the remark in a speech on Wednesday, during the oath-taking ceremony of newly-promoted uniformed personnel.
